Stamp releases announced

The Year of the Dragon stamp will be dedicated in Seattle on Jan. 25.

The Postal Service has announced release dates for some of next year’s stamps, along with the cities where the dedication ceremonies will be held:

• Lunar New Year: Year of the Dragon, Jan. 25, Seattle;

• Black Heritage: Constance Baker Motley, Jan. 31, New York City;

• The Underground Railroad, March 9, Church Creek, MD;

• Bluegrass, March 15, Owensboro, KY; and

• Save Manatees, March 27, Silver Springs, FL.

There will be no dedication ceremony for eight releases: Love, Jan. 12; Pillars of Creation and Cosmic Cliffs, Jan. 22; Literary Arts: Saul Bellow, Feb. 6; Radiant Star, Feb. 19; Garden Delights, March 16; and Celebration Blooms and Wedding Blooms, March 22.

USPS announced its planned 2024 stamp releases in October and this week.

Additional release dates will be announced later.
