EAP services are available for employees

The USPS Employee Assistance Program provides access to licensed professionals for counseling, support, therapy and coaching.

The Postal Service wants to remind employees that they have access to licensed professionals who are available to provide confidential counseling, consultation and coaching services to help manage life’s challenges.

The USPS Employee Assistance Program is a free, voluntary resource that offers assessment, referral, short-term counseling and more to postal employees and their families.

EAP provides 24/7 access to licensed professionals who can provide:

• Face-to-face counseling;
• Video counseling;
• Telephonic counseling;
• “In the moment” support;
• Online therapy;
• Coaching and training;
• Consultations;
• EAP orientations;
• Critical incident response; and
• Web-based tools.

EAP professionals can also assist employees with issues related to work-life balance, health and wellness, elder and child care, suicide prevention and retirement.
