Yancy Still, a highway contract route driver, was recently delivering mail in Sharon Springs, KS, the day after a tornado hit the area.
He checked on one of his older customers, who lives in a rural location, and discovered that the man had been stuck in a chair all night surrounded by debris from the storm.
The customer was unable to get up and reach his phone to call for help. The floor around him was covered in shattered glass from the home’s windows.
Still was able to get help from a neighbor, who drove the man to a hospital to be checked for injuries.
The customer subsequently died because of other health issues.
