Letter Carrier Jeric Thomas was on the road in Canton, MI, when he witnessed an accident involving a colleague.
During the collision, an LLV was knocked on its side, trapping the driver.
Thomas called 911, then rushed to the LLV. He forced open the vehicle’s rear cargo door and climbed inside to unbuckle his colleague’s seat belt, freeing her.
Thomas helped the co-worker get to a safe spot away from traffic, where they waited until emergency responders arrived.
