Veterans’ talk

Online discussion to be held July 23

The upcoming veterans roundtable will focus on the Honoring Our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act.

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team will hold a veterans’ roundtable for Postal Service employees on Sunday, July 23, at 1 p.m. Eastern time.

The discussion will center on the Honoring Our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act, the most significant expansion of benefits and services for toxic-exposed veterans in more than 30 years.

The event will be led by Jamie Statton, management and program analyst for the Veterans Benefits Administration and an Army veteran.

Statton will discuss how the new law expands Veterans Administration health care and benefits to veterans exposed to Agent Orange, burn pits and other dangers.

The roundtable will be held via Zoom. The meeting ID number and passcode can be found on the Blue and LiteBlue veterans pages, as can the phone number for employees who prefer to participate by phone.

Participation is voluntary and off the clock.

A recording will be available afterward on the Veterans Affairs pages of Blue and LiteBlue.

Employees with questions about the roundtable — or any military-related concerns — can email the military program specialist at military@usps.gov.
