Central was the area leader in scanning during the week ending March 11, while Idaho-Montana-Oregon finished first among the districts.

Scanning snapshot. A snapshot of Postal Service scanning data shows the national rating was 96.64 percent during the week ending March 11, down 0.04 percent from one week earlier.

The data was collected March 16.

Central led the four areas with a rating of 96.96 percent, while Atlantic ranked last with a 96.14 percent rating.

Among the 50 districts, Idaho-Montana-Oregon, part of WestPac Area, ranked first with a 98.03 percent rating, while New Jersey, part of Atlantic Area, ranked last with a 92.82 percent rating.

Scanning data allows customers to track their mail and packages, which helps USPS deliver excellent service, boost loyalty and drive revenue.

To see the latest data, go to the Informed Visibility website and select “Customer Experience,” followed by “DES 2 Scan Performance.” Postal Service employees must request Informed Visibility access through eAccess.

Delivery data. From Jan. 1-March 4, the Postal Service delivered 86.9 percent of First-Class Mail on time when compared with the organization’s service standard, according to data released last week.

During the same period, USPS delivered 91.7 percent of Marketing Mail and 80.5 percent of Periodicals on time, the figures show.

Bottled water update. Postal Service facilities that want to request bottled water service through Nestle should first confirm service is available by calling the company’s enterprise service center at 844-855-4596 weekdays from 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. EDT.

Facility managers can also email or go to the company’s website,; if a postal site is not serviceable, a pop-up message will appear.

No action is needed from USPS facilities that receive service through Nestle, although these sites should confirm they have a valid eBuy Plus requisition completed through Sept. 30.
