Western Pacific was the area leader in scanning during the week ending Aug. 6, while ME-NH-VT finished first among the districts.

Scanning snapshot. A snapshot of Postal Service scanning data shows the national rating was 97.01 percent during the week ending Aug. 6, down 0.19 percent from one week earlier.

The data was collected Aug. 11.

Western Pacific led the four areas with a rating of 97.16 percent, while Atlantic ranked last with a 96.79 percent rating.

Among the 50 districts, ME-NH-VT, part of Atlantic Area, ranked first with a 97.97 percent rating, while California 4, part of Western Pacific, ranked last with a 95.39 percent rating.

Scanning data allows customers to track their mail and packages, which helps USPS deliver excellent service, boost loyalty and drive revenue.

To see the latest data, go to the Informed Visibility website and select “Customer Experience,” followed by “DES 2 Scan Performance.” Postal Service employees must request Informed Visibility access through eAccess.

Delivery data. In July, the Postal Service delivered 92.6 percent of Marketing Mail on time when compared with USPS service standard, the organization reported last week.

Improvements in the delivery of First-Class Mail and Periodicals were also reported.
