Scanning snapshot. A snapshot of Postal Service scanning data shows the national rating was 97.03 percent during the week ending July 9, down 0.14 percent from one week earlier.
The data was collected July 14.
Central led the four areas with a rating of 97.28 percent, while Atlantic ranked last with a 96.79 percent rating.
Among the 50 districts, Washington, part of Western Pacific Area, ranked first with a 98.02 percent rating, while Puerto Rico, part of Southern Area, ranked last with a 94.34 percent rating.
To see the latest data, go to the Informed Visibility website and select “Customer Experience,” followed by “DES 2 Scan Performance.” Postal Service employees must request Informed Visibility access through eAccess.
Delivery data. During fiscal year 2021’s third quarter (April 1-June 30), the Postal Service delivered 87.5 percent of First-Class Mail on time when compared with the USPS service standard — an increase of 9 percentage points from the previous quarter.
The organization, which reported the figures last week, also recorded improvements in the delivery of Marking Mail and Periodicals.
Northern exposure. The Postal Service will dedicate its Raven Story stamp July 30 during a ceremony in Juneau, AK. The stamp will be available nationwide at Post Offices and usps.com that day.
