Scanning snapshot. A snapshot of Postal Service scanning data shows the national rating was 96.83 percent during the week ending June 11, down about a half-point from one week earlier.
The data was collected June 16.
Central led the four areas with a rating of 97.05 percent, while Atlantic ranked last with a 96.57 percent rating.
Among the 50 districts, Washington, part of Western Pacific Area, ranked first with a 97.84 percent rating, while Puerto Rico, part of Southern Area, ranked last with a 90.61 percent rating.
To see the latest data, go to the Informed Visibility website and select “Customer Experience,” followed by “DES 2 Scan Performance.” Postal Service employees must request Informed Visibility access through eAccess.
Delivery data. The Postal Service improved its delivery of First-Class Mail and Periodicals during the week ending June 4, while Marketing Mail delivery saw a slight decline. USPS reported the results last week.
Spies like us. The Postal Service will dedicate its Mystery Message stamp on Wednesday, July 14, during a ceremony at the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC. The Forever stamp, which spells out a difficult-to-discern message, will be released that day at Post Offices and usps.com.
