A snapshot of Postal Service scanning data shows the national rating was 92.76 percent during the week ending Dec. 11, down more than 3 percent from one week earlier.
The data was collected Dec. 16.
Western-Pacific led the four areas with a rating of 95.45 percent, followed by Southern (92.69 percent), Central (91.31 percent) and Atlantic (91.09 percent).
Among the 67 districts, Salt Lake City, part of Western-Pacific Area, ranked first with a rating of 97.13 percent, while Baltimore, part of Atlantic Area, ranked last with a 76.94 percent rating.
The districts’ biggest gainer was Southern Area’s Mississippi, which ranked 48th with a 91.65 percent rating, an improvement of almost three-quarters of a point from one week earlier, while the biggest decline was recorded by Baltimore, whose rating was down more than 13 percent.
Scanning data allows customers to track their mail and packages, which helps USPS deliver excellent service, boost loyalty and drive revenue.
