Employees can give to charitable campaign

The Combined Federal Campaign allows postal workers to contribute to more than 7,000 charitable organizations.

The latest Combined Federal Campaign, the federal government’s annual workplace charity drive, will begin Monday, Sept. 21, and continue until Friday, Jan. 15.

The campaign, also known as the CFC, allows individuals to contribute to more than 7,000 charitable organizations. All Postal Service workers, contractors and retirees can participate.

“Through the Combined Federal Campaign, USPS employees have an opportunity to make a real difference in the communities where they live and work,” said Chief Human Resources Officer Isaac Cronkhite. “With so many crises in the world today, charities are struggling to keep up. This year, our pledges are more important than ever.”

During the previous campaign, which concluded in June, USPS employees pledged $6.9 million to CFC charities, the highest amount of any single agency. The pledges included $43,000 that was raised during a springtime special solicitation for charities affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The Postal Service aims to raise at least $6.9 million during the latest campaign.

USPS workers can participate through payroll deductions or one-time donations. This year, organizers will emphasize the CFC Giving mobile app, which allows participants to make unlimited one-time donations throughout the solicitation period.

The online CFC Donor Pledging System has more information about the campaign, along with a gateway page that will allow participants to easily access their local CFC website. Employees with questions can also email the Postal Service’s CFC team.
