If you want to see a sneak preview of the Bugs Bunny stamps, check out the Postal Service’s social media channels this weekend.
The organization is slated to reveal the first stamp image Friday, July 17, followed by the second image Saturday, July 18. Both images will debut at 1 p.m. EDT on the USPS Facebook and Twitter pages.
Additional sneak peaks are planned before all the stamps are released Monday, July 27, and dedicated that day during a virtual ceremony co-hosted by the Postal Service and Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
The 20-stamp pane — which will consist of 10 designs, with each design appearing twice — will help mark the 80th anniversary of Bugs Bunny’s official screen debut.
The stamp artwork is based on Bugs’s iconic moments and was created especially for USPS by Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., featuring work from Warner Bros. Animation artists, who also created the sketches on the reverse side of the stamp pane.
Customers can pre-order the Forever stamps at usps.com/shopstamps. For details about the virtual dedication ceremony, go to usps.com/bugsbunny.
Postal Service employees can use a personal smartphone, tablet or other device to visit the organization’s social media channels when they’re off the clock.
