Scanning snapshot. Things are looking up on the scanning front.

The Postal Service’s national rating was 97.77 percent during the week ending March 6, up from 97.66 percent one week earlier.

Like they usually do, Western (98.07 percent) led the areas, while Dakotas (99.1 percent) dominated the districts.

None of the areas improved their overall rating during the week, although there were some gainers among the 67 districts.

This list was led by Caribbean, which ranked 53rd with a 97.35 percent rating, a 1.22 percent improvement from the previous week; Arkansas, which ranked 32nd with a 97.91 percent score, up 0.53 percent; and No. 25-ranked Northern Ohio, where the rating was 98.06 percent, a 0.18 percent improvement.

Scanning data allows customers to track their mail and packages, which helps USPS deliver excellent service, boost loyalty and drive revenue.
