Wesley Sneed, an area maintenance technician at the Oklahoma City Processing and Distribution Center, was recently driving to the Post Office in rural Eufaula, OK, when he saw a vehicle veer off the highway and flip over.
Sneed stopped, called 911 and rushed to the aid the occupants: an older man and his two dogs.
The Postal Service employee remained on the scene until emergency responders arrived to further assist the man, who sustained minor injuries.
“If Wes had not been there, who knows how long it would have been before someone else stopped,” said Eufaula Officer in Charge Cotie Sanders. “Wes is a good example of how all of us should be, and a great example of a postal employee.”
