EAP available throughout season

The Employee Assistance Program is available to help employees throughout the holiday season and beyond.

The Postal Service wants you to remember that counseling and other services are available during the holidays — and all year long — through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

If you need to talk to someone, you can call EAP’s toll-free number at 800-327-4968 (800-EAP-4YOU). The TTY number is 877-492-7341.

Counselors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

EAP is voluntary, confidential and free.

In addition to telephone counseling, EAP offers face-to-face counseling and video, text and online therapy.

The EAP4YOU.com website has information about all available services, as well as the newly created “Here Come the Holidays” handouts that address topics such as reducing stress, dealing with grief and maintaining energy levels.
