Northeast was the area leader in scanning during the week ending Oct. 25, while Dakotas finished first among the districts.

Scanning snapshot. The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.86 percent during the week ending Oct. 25, up from one week earlier.

Northeast (98.03 percent) led the areas, while Dakotas (99.16 percent) topped the districts.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and mail, and it helps USPS improve efficiency and network management.

To see the latest results, go to the Informed Visibility site and select “Customer Experience,” followed by “DES 2 Scan Performance.” Employees must request access to Informed Visibility through eAccess.

Veterans Day planning. USPS is providing general operating policy and planning guidance for the Veterans Day holiday, which will be observed Monday, Nov. 11.

A new memo, available on Blue, explains guidelines for delivery, retail, processing and logistics operations.

Postal Bulletin. The Postal Bulletin’s Oct. 24 edition features an overview of the holiday season, including stamps, mail-by dates and more.
