U.S. soldiers rely on the unique work ethic of Belgain Malinois dogs to complete some of the military’s most dangerous missions, a new Postal Service video shows.
The dogs are known for their loyalty and strong desire to please their masters — two qualities that make them especially effective on the battlefield.
“They work for you because they want to,” Josiah Caldwell, a Marine Corps dog handler, says in the 1-minute, 30-second clip.
The video is one of four that USPS has produced to promote Military Working Dogs, a 20-stamp booklet that was released this month.
The other videos, which also are available on the Postal Service’s YouTube channel, highlight German shepherd, Dutch shepherd and Labrador retriever dogs.
