The Postal Service recently honored several employees for their efforts to respond to Freedom of Information Act requests.
These employees received recognition:
- Tyrone Dash, a Postal Police sergeant with the Inspection Service’s Charlotte, NC, Division
- Jeannette Grant, a project management analyst in Accounting Services at USPS headquarters in Washington, DC
- Anthony Kessler, a computer operations contractor in Eagan, MN
- John Loch, a contractor in the Wilkes-Barre, PA, Solutions Center
- Marina Dejo-Nicholson, a labor relations systems manager at USPS headquarters
- Merl Lynn Stanley, a sales support specialist in Springfield, MO
- Charles Wang, a database administrator in Raleigh, NC
- Tiffanie Woodland, an information disclosure technician in the Office of Independent Counsel at USPS headquarters
Each employee received a Chief FOIA Officer’s Award, a quarterly honor that recognizes postal workers who respond to requests in a timely manner and help USPS foster transparency.
FOIA is a 1966 law that allows individuals and organizations to request documents, emails and more from federal agencies.
