Retail Associate Shakilya Vincent was recently helping customer Bette Strickland at the Battleboro, NC, Post Office when the woman felt faint.
Vincent quickly provided a stool, water and a wet compress for Strickland, who said she feared she would have fallen to the floor without assistance.
Strickland suspected a blood pressure medication issue, left on her own and later mailed Vincent a letter of thanks.
“I know you said you would do it for your mama, but I am a stranger,” Strickland wrote. “Thank you so much for taking care of me when I needed help.”
