Frozen Treats, a booklet of 20 stamps that feature watercolor illustrations of ice pops, will be the first scratch-and-sniff stamps in the Postal Service’s history.
USPS announced the scratch-and-sniff feature this week. Customers can order the stamps at usps.com for delivery soon after Wednesday, June 20.
The stamps will be dedicated that day at a ceremony at the Thinkery children’s museum in Austin, TX.
The Frozen Treats booklet will feature 10 designs, and each design will show two different treats.
The release marks the latest stamp innovation from USPS.
Last year, the organization released Total Eclipse of the Sun, a stamp that uses thermochromic ink and changes when you touch it, and Have a Ball! stamps that have the look and feel of balls used in eight sports.
