Sally Ride stamp. Tennis legend Billie Jean King will help unveil the Sally Ride stamp Wednesday, May 23.
Postmaster General Megan J. Brennan will lead the dedication ceremony that day in La Jolla, CA, where she will be joined by King, Ride’s friend; Tam O’Shaugnessy, Ride’s widow; and Pradeep Khosla, chancellor of the University of California.
The stamp, which USPS announced last December, honors Ride, the pioneering astronaut who became the nation’s first woman in space.
