Western was the area leader in scanning during the week ending Jan. 12, while Dakotas finished first among the districts.

Scanning snapshot. The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.51 percent during the week ending Jan. 12, up from one week earlier.

Dakotas (98.96 percent) topped the districts, while Western (97.94 percent) led the areas.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and mail. It also helps USPS improve efficiency and network management.

To see the latest results, go to the Enterprise Analytics site and select “Analytics Tools,” followed by “DES 2 — Scan Performance.”

Love stamp. The Postal Service will release Love Flourishes, the latest entry in its Love stamp series, Jan. 18.

The stamp art features a fanciful garden of colorful flowers surrounding the word “Love” written in cursive script.

The stamp dedication ceremony will be held in Phoenix.
