USPS employees can use Checkbook’s Guide to Health Plans to find the coverage that will best meet their needs.

Making comparisons. Reminder: USPS employees can use Checkbook’s Guide to Health Plans to compare the benefits available during this year’s open season.

Checkbook has information about all plans available through the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program.

The comparison tool can help you find the right health plan for you and your family. Information on prescription drugs and dental and vision care is also included.

Checkbook has published its annual guide to federal benefits for more than 35 years. This is the second year USPS has provided free access to the guide for all employees and retirees.

Employees can access the guide through the Open Season LiteBlue page.

Open season, the annual period when employees can change their health coverage or enroll in a new plan, will conclude Dec. 11.

Boxed lunch. “CBS Sunday Morning” recently gave viewers a look at classic lunchboxes — including one with a postal theme.

Reporter Nancy Giles visited the Lunchbox Museum in Columbus, GA, where a 1960s U.S. Mail lunchbox is on display. The original pail also came with a Mr. ZIP thermos.

The 3-minute report is available on the CBS News site.
