City Carrier Assistant Nicholaus Collenburg was delivering mail recently in Milwaukee when joggers flagged him down.
A man had collapsed into nearby bushes, they said, and they weren’t carrying phones.
Collenburg, a former longtime lifeguard, sprang into action and located the man, who was in cardiac arrest.
The Postal Service employee called 911 and administered CPR until paramedics arrived and took over.
The man was stabilized and rushed to a hospital with a strong heartbeat.
It was later determined that he had suffered a massive heart attack.
