Father Theodore Hesburgh’s many achievements are recalled in a new video that features highlights from the recent USPS stamp dedication in his honor.
“We are honoring a man who believed strongly and acted courageously and righteously for worthy causes,” PMG Megan J. Brennan says in the video.
Hesburgh was the University of Notre Dame’s longest-serving president and a champion of civil rights and other causes.
The 1-minute video spot also features comments from Condoleezza Rice, formerly secretary of state and a Notre Dame graduate, and Rev. John Jenkins, the university’s president.
The ceremony was held this month on Notre Dame’s campus in South Bend, IN.
