Rural Carrier Jason Francis was delivering mail recently in Scott Depot, WV, when he encountered a distressed woman in the middle of the road.
She flagged him down and asked him to help a man in her car who was unresponsive following an overdose.
While the woman called 911, Francis parked his vehicle and assessed the situation. With the help of a bystander, he removed the man from the car and started CPR.
A nurse who lives in the neighborhood soon came by and determined that the victim had a pulse and was breathing sporadically.
The man was revived fully when emergency responders arrived and administered an overdose antidote.
