The graduate. San Antonio Letter Carrier Francisco Gaytan recently made a special delivery to a new graduate on his route.
Beth Ann Duque had anxiously waited for more than a month for the arrival of her bachelor’s degree from the University of the Incarnate Word.
When Gayton delivered the white envelope containing her diploma, Beth Ann was so excited she asked her letter carrier to take a selfie with her.
“She was ecstatic,” Gaytan said. “She wanted to receive it like the graduates do in the commercials.”
Gaytan, a 25-year USPS veteran, has delivered to the Duque home for five years, leaving a great impression on the family.
“I have so much respect for Francisco,” said Stella Duque, Beth Ann’s mother. “He walks through his route every day in all types of weather being cheerful, kind and helpful.”
Don’t stress out. The Postal Bulletin’s latest edition reminds employees to prevent heat stress by staying cool this summer.
The Aug. 3 edition also includes pull-out information on invalid USPS corporate account numbers.
