Post Offices to host events for entrepreneurs

Small Biz Week
USPS is touting the benefits of Priority Mail shipping products and services during National Small Business Week.

More than 800 Post Offices across the nation will hold events to mark National Small Business Week, which is April 30-May 6.

The events will include workshops and other activities where entrepreneurs will learn how USPS can help them grow their businesses.

“No business is too small to benefit from USPS products and services,” said Sales and Customer Relations Sr. VP Cliff Rucker. “We can help them innovate, ship their products economically and confidently, and use the mail to attract new customers.”

The Postal Service’s offerings for small businesses include Every Door Direct Mail, a marketing tool that allows firms to use demographic information to target customers.

Additionally, small-business owners can order free shipping kits at PriorityMail.com/smallbusiness.

The U.S. Small Business Administration organizes National Small Business Week to highlight the economic contributions of entrepreneurs.

The SBA site has more information about National Small Business Week, while the USPS Sales and Customer Relations Blue page has information about postal products and services.
