Tractor Trailer Operator Javier Leon was recently transporting mail from the Tampa, FL, Processing and Distribution Center to a local Post Office when he saw something alarming: a girl running across the street, dressed only in pajamas.
Leon pulled over and honked the horn to get the attention of the child, who appeared to be around 6 years old. When he got out of the truck and asked her where her parents were, she replied, “I don’t have a mommy or daddy.”
Leon called authorities and, along with other passersby, watched over the girl until they arrived.
She was later reunited with family members.
