A letter carrier’s recent day of delivering mail in Olivehurst, CA, was interrupted by a moment of crisis.
Frank Marino heard a woman crying out for help as she ran toward him from a nearby house, carrying a motionless baby. She was the sitter, and the child had fallen into a pool.
Marino called 911 and performed CPR until emergency responders arrived. The baby was soon flown to a trauma center but did not survive.
“No matter the outcome, Frank is no doubt a hero to the people he works with,” said Officer in Charge Joy Herrington.
