New scanning scores, EMVP reminder

Western was the area leader in scanning during the week ending Feb. 3, while Dakotas finished first among the districts.

Scanning snapshot. The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.72 percent during the week ending Feb. 3, up from one week earlier.

Dakotas (98.64 percent) topped the districts, while Western (98.05 percent) led the areas.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.

Scores and standings change continually. To see the latest results, go to the Enterprise Analytics site and select “Scanning” on the left hand side, and then “DES 2 — Scan Performance” from the drop-down options.

Nominations sought. If you’re a bargaining unit employee and have a colleague in your workplace who is positive and passionate about his or her work, USPS wants to hear from you.

The organization is seeking nominations for its Engagement Most Valuable Player (EMVP) program, which recognizes bargaining employees who foster enthusiasm, involvement and commitment in their workplaces.

“The EMVP program is about peer-to-peer recognition,” said Employee Engagement Executive Director Kelvin Williams. “Our goal is to provide bargaining employees with an opportunity to recognize their fellow bargaining employees.”

Bargaining employees can nominate a peer in their work group by completing a nomination form on LiteBlue. Nominations will be reviewed by local managers, who will provide concurrence on the final selections.

The deadline for nominations is Feb. 15.
