Depew, NY, Customer Services Supervisor Jeffery Moretta recently drove out to help a rural carrier having vehicle problems, but the sound of a car crash at a nearby intersection soon signaled a much more urgent issue.
Moretta rushed to the scene and found that one of the victims was trapped in her automobile, which was leaking fluids and smoking. In her rising panic, the woman struggled to breathe and feared she was having a heart attack.
Moretta and several other passersby freed the woman and carried her a safe distance away.
He stayed on the scene to make her comfortable and calm her until emergency responders arrived.
