Philadelphia Letter Carrier Gary Booz wasn’t even supposed to be in the Post Office when a co-worker suffered a massive heart attack last summer.
But he’d come in early because the Democratic National Convention was in town and he wanted to be sure he delivered the day’s mail on time.
Retail Associate Lynette Wilmer is grateful that Booz is conscientious since he is the one who stepped up after she collapsed and the 911 dispatcher urged the caller to find someone who could perform CPR until emergency responders arrived.
“All the doctors praised him,” Wilmer later told the local ABC station. “I know without Gary on the work floor, I wouldn’t be here.”
