This year’s Cyber Monday is expected to be the largest ever — and the Postal Service wants consumers to know its employees are ready to deliver for them.

Cyber Monday, the Monday after Thanksgiving, is typically one of the year’s biggest online shopping days. Sales in 2016 are expected to exceed $3 billion, up 9.4 percent from last year, according to estimates by market researcher Adobe Digital Insights.

USPS is reminding online shoppers it offers a variety of shipping products and services, including:

  • Free boxes. Customer can order free flat-rate Priority Mail boxes at usps.com/freeboxes and have them delivered to any home or business.
  • Click-N-Ship. This service allows customers to create mailing labels and print postage online at usps.com/ship.
  • Package Pickup. Customers can go to usps.com/pickup to request this free service.

The Postal Service is also offering suggested mailing dates, military shipping deadlines, holiday mailers and more to help customers plan for the holidays.

USPS expects to handle approximately 750 million packages this holiday season, up more than 12 percent from last year. This is double the volume of packages handled just four years ago.
