When Letter Carrier Martha Snider recently found that a customer’s mail was accumulating at a New Martinsville, WV, apartment complex, she took the mail to her door. Getting no response when she knocked, Snider contacted the superintendent of the complex, who checked on the woman and found that she had fallen and been unable to get up or reach a phone for more than 24 hours. The resident was hospitalized and the superintendent credits Snider with saving the woman’s life.
