A police officer in Livingston, MT, who recently faced off with an uncooperative suspect got help from postal employee Michelle Ponca. When the city carrier assistant came upon the situation while delivering mail and saw the suspect flee from the officer, she called 911 and stayed on the scene, guiding backup units to a ditch where the officer struggled to detain the man after chasing him. Ponca’s actions “reflect the highest standards of a United States Postal Service employee,” said Michael Felts, the local customer services supervisor.
