Liz Robert, Terry Bicycles’ chief executive officer, discusses the company’s relationship with USPS in a new video.

The top executive of a leading cycling company for women says USPS has been instrumental to the firm’s success.

Consumers want to place orders online and have them delivered within three days, according to Liz Robert, chief executive officer of Burlington, VT-based Terry Bicycles.

“The Postal Service has been great in allowing us to do that,” Robert says in a new video. “We find the reliability of delivery to be second to none.”

Doing business with USPS is the most “cost-efficient way” for Terry Bicycles to ship its products, she says.

Robert also points to the added bonus that USPS delivers everywhere — PO Boxes included — which is vital to serving rural customers.

The company also relies on the Postal Service for its returns business and includes a shipping label in each package so customers can return items if needed.

“That helps us build confidence with our customers, and that’s a big deal,” Robert says.

The 1-minute, 45-second segment is the fifth installment in the “In Conversation With” series, which highlights USPS business customers.

The video is available on the Postal Service’s YouTube channel. Some employees may be unable to watch external videos on postal computers.
