Did you know only USPS-issued portable devices can be used to transfer some forms of postal information?
Non-encrypted portable devices, such as personal flash or thumb drives, shouldn’t be used to store, process or transmit non-publically available postal information.
Similarly, personal laptops, tablets and mobile devices are not permitted on the postal network.
Contact your direct supervisor or procurement coordinator to request encrypted thumb drives through the eBuy2 catalog.
Employees should refer to Handbook AS-805, Information Security, for additional guidance.
The CyberSafe at USPS team also reminds employees to report cybersecurity incidents to the CyberSecurity Operations Center.
The CyberSafe at USPS sites on Blue and LiteBlue have additional information.
