The CyberSafe at USPS team is reminding employees to remain vigilant against security threats no matter where they go online.
Here are tips for different locations:
- Workstations. Use your office workstation only for business purposes, and lock your workstation or mobile devices when not in use. Always remember to erase whiteboard walls that contain sensitive information.
- Break rooms. Don’t share confidential information with co-workers who don’t need to know it.
- Public spaces. Don’t discuss confidential information in public spaces. You never know who may be listening or looking.
- Home. Use firewall software to protect your internet connection from cyber threats, and turn off your computer or disconnect it from the internet when not in use.
The CyberSafe at USPS team is offering best practices throughout October, which is National Cyber Security Awareness Month.
Additional tips are available at the new CyberSafe at USPS public site, as well as the Blue and LiteBlue pages.
