Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor George Perez was on his way to work recently in Hicksville, NY, when he saw a toddler in trouble.
The barefoot 3-year-old girl was wandering alongside the street by herself.
Perez and another passerby stopped her from running into traffic, gave her a sweater to warm up with and stayed with her until police officers arrived.
The good Samaritans helped locate the girl’s home, and she was reunited with her mother.
