The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.39 percent during the week ending Sept. 30, down from the previous week.
Thirty-eight districts and five areas met or exceeded the national average.
Dakotas (98.71 percent) finished first among the districts for the second consecutive week. Among the areas, Western (97.8 percent) recorded its fifth straight first-place finish.
Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.
