The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.43 percent during the week ending Sept. 23, down from the previous week.
Thirty-eight districts and four areas met or exceeded the national average.
Dakotas (98.53 percent) reclaimed the top spot among the districts after a two-week hiatus. Among the areas, Western (97.92 percent) finished first for the fourth consecutive week.
Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.
Scores and standings change continually.
