Western reclaims top spot among areas

The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.59 percent during the week ending Sept. 2, up from the previous week.

Thirty-five districts and three areas met or exceeded the national average.

Dakotas (98.59 percent) led the districts for the 13th week in a row, while Western (97.84 percent) reclaimed first place among the areas after its long reign in the top spot was interrupted the previous week.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.

Scores and standings change continually.

To see the latest results, go to the Enterprise Analytics site and use the Dashboards menu on the left side to select “Scanning” and then “DES 2 — Scan Performance” from the drop-down options.
