Do you plug your personal devices into Postal Service equipment or computer networks?
If so, you’re creating a significant information security risk.
USPS is reminding employees that they should never connect their personal devices — including phones, tablets and electronic readers — to postal equipment or networks.
Here are two more tips to follow:
- Don’t charge any device by using USPS equipment. If you need to charge a device, use an outlet.
- Don’t log into the Postal Service wireless network with your personal device.
The Postal Service is distributing a poster and stand-up talk to remind employees of these rules.
