Districts across the nation are competing in a challenge to educate customers and employees about USPS international products and services.

Postmasters, business development specialists and district international coordinators are collaborating to show retail associates how to submit sales leads and sell more international products to maximize revenue.

“[These districts] are thinking out of the box,” said Global Business Acting VP Don Ross. “Doing the same old thing won’t bring in new profits.”

Teams are also showing local business customers how to use USPS products to grow their international customer base, which increases Postal Service revenue.

For example, Northern Ohio District recently hosted more than 120 business customers at an international shipping event that was livestreamed on Facebook.

Other districts are hosting lobby events, conducting training webinars and adding new locations that offer additional international services.

“The districts are getting everyone involved in the challenge, and that’s what it takes to make us successful,” Ross said. “We need everyone onboard to find ways to grow revenue.”
