The Postal Service continues to monitor a possible strike or work stoppage affecting Canada Post.
On July 5, Canada Post issued a 72-hour notice announcing that it will change the terms and conditions of employment for all employees represented by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers starting Friday, July 8, at midnight.
Until further notice, USPS will continue to process and accept all mail to and from Canada.
If there is a work stoppage, USPS will continue to offer customers Global Express Guaranteed (GXG) service, available online at participating retail locations.
Additional information and updates about mail service to Canada are available on the Postal Service’s International Service Alerts page.
