The Postal Service dedicated several stamps at the World Stamp Show during the Memorial Day weekend.
The Honoring Extraordinary Heroism: The Service Cross Medals stamps were dedicated May 30 at the show, which is being held this week in New York City.
Chief Information Officer Kristin Seaver dedicated the stamps, which honor military service members who have been awarded one of the four Service Cross Medals — the Army Distinguished Service Cross; the Navy Cross, which includes the Marine Corps; the Air Force Cross; and the Coast Guard Cross.
On May 29, Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer Mike Elston dedicated the Repeal of the Stamp Act souvenir stamp sheet, which commemorates the 250th anniversary of an event that galvanized and united the American colonies before the Revolutionary War.
Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Jim Cochrane opened the show May 28 by dedicating a folio celebrating the World Stamp Show, which takes place in the United States once every decade.
