Jackson, MI, Rural Carrier Lou Ann Maxson was on her route recently when she saw a woman crying and waving her arms.
The customer had slipped on ice while walking her dogs and was unable to get on her feet. She had been lying in the cold weather for close to an hour.
Maxson approached the scene, immediately called police and alerted her supervisor. While waiting for help to arrive, Maxson covered the customer in her own coat and a blanket. The customer expressed her appreciation for Maxon’s assistance.
