The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.46 percent during the week ending April 29, up from one week earlier.
Thirty-nine districts exceeded the national average, led by Portland (98.27 percent). Three areas beat the national number, beginning with Western (97.8 percent).
Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.
