It’s been a winning year for the “The Inspectors.”
Since its debut last fall, the CBS drama has received several awards and nominations for its portrayal of a team of Postal Inspectors who investigate mail-related crimes.
The streak continued this week when “The Inspectors” won two Cynopsis Media Social Good Awards.
The series was honored for best scripted episode and best public service announcement for a Wounded Warriors video featuring stars Terry Serpico and Greg Gadson.
“The Inspectors” also received a Parents’ Choice Recommended Award for quality family programming in February.
Additionally, the show was nominated for several Daytime Emmys and renewed for a second season in March.
“‘The Inspectors’ has taught viewers about a range of consumer scams and how to avoid becoming a victim,” says Chief Postal Inspector Guy Cottrell. “Recognition by these prominent organizations demonstrates the value of the Postal Service’s innovative approach to engage and educate customers, and affirms the effort by all within the Inspection Service to protect the U.S. Mail and its customers and employees from criminals who do harm.”
CBS stations air “The Inspectors” at varying times on Saturday mornings. The CBS Dream Team site offers local air times and past episodes.
